For many years I volunteered and did substitute teaching while working at a local church doing Children's and Foreign Ministries. In 2012, I joined the amazing academy team full time as a tutor and teacher's assistant. In January of 2013, the Academy opened it's new computer lab and wheeled out it's Chromebook one-on-one initiative. These exciting advancements opened a new world for our students and learning. January 2013, I became the Online Learning Coordinator. I have many hats I enjoy wearing at the academy but the best one is working with our incredible students each and every day.
A big responsibility I have is organizing and managing the Box Tops and Soup Label program for the Academy. Thanks to the generous donations of donors, parents, friends and DAR, we earn thousands of dollars each year for teachers to purchase technology and resources for their classrooms. Managing the Accelerated Reading Program is another responsibility I enjoy. I love seeing student reading and finishing books
I am also blessed to a Wife and a Mom. I have two awesome teenage boys that keep me on the move everyday. When I'm not at school, I'm with my family enjoying sports (Soccer, Football, Wrestling, Track), scouting, cooking, mission trips, travel, church, reading, photography and the outdoors.

My Favorite Color is GREEN, My Favorite Season is FALL, My Favorite Food is SALAD, Favorite Sport is whatever my boys are playing, Favorite ACC Team is UNC, My Favorite Vacation location-PARIS, My Favorite Movie is PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, Favorite Book is Redeeming Love, The Outlander Series and Harry Potter, My Favorite Thing to do at Home is Cook & Read, I have gone on 7 mission trips to the Ukraine, I love planning events, parties and dinner.
